Cogna8 is an AI governance platform built in Sydney. It gives organisations one record of their AI, from inventory and risk to controls and evidence, and decides whether an agent may act before it does.
Why we started
Working inside AI agent systems, one pattern kept surfacing: the hardest failures were not about model quality. They came from agents acting on facts that had quietly changed, conflicted or were never approved, with no record of who allowed what.

Behind the core team sit senior backend and frontend engineers engaged on the build, a solutions architect with data and AI expertise, and advisers across governance, financial services and infrastructure.
Every technology that changed how we work earned its place the same way: people learned to trust it.
AI is at that point now. The capability has arrived. What’s still forming is the confidence to let it act inside institutions that carry real responsibility.
That’s the work we chose. Not to slow AI down, but to give it ground worth standing on.
We’re still learning, and we’re doing it in the open. I believe the organisations that lead the next decade will be the ones that made trust part of how they build, not something checked at the end.
